EFactor Event Recap:
We at EFactor are constantly amazed at what entrepreneurs are doing, and this event was no acception. A great attendence participated even though the rain was threatening, as our panelist shed valuable insight on their sustainable fashion lines. Many that attended, although from other industries, were able to learn about building a small brand in the sprawling LA market. Dr. Ulasewicz moderated a great discussion on many themes focusing on customer aquisition, optimization of fabric usage (which Elaine Kim does). Just as important was the reuse of the wasted fabric (Laura Howe makes handbags and accessories from excess fabric that would just be thrown away). Taryn Hipwell dwelled on her experience with starting her own business at an early age, but finding that timing is a crucial element to consider before endeavoring into building a new company. A great take away for most people was that they had to think "lean" about their business. Many entrepreneurs have big eyes for their markets and their products, and they really need to focus and carve out a "niche". Download Flyer www.efactor.com/greenfashionla Comments are closed.
